SinergIA 2024 Awards
We are very honored to have been awarded as first place winners in the “Intensive Services” category of the “SinergIA 2024 Awards” that reward the development of innovative solutions in Artificial Intelligence and that are awarded by the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Society of Ecuador through the Undersecretary for the Promotion of the Information Society and Digital Economy in collaboration with the Artificial Intelligence Committee of Ecuador and the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Quito. This recognition reflects the hard work and commitment of our entire team at Caiman Immunizer®, led by our Founder and CEO Mr. Jairo Cano, who together with all the company’s collaborators have been fundamental pillars in our mission to promote this world-class cybersecurity startup.
“The most innovative and outstanding Ecuadorian projects in AI that contribute to the development of Ecuador were awarded in 7 categories: Agribusiness, aquaculture and fishing industry; education; energy; environment; health and well-being; intensive services; and transportation, mobility and logistics. More than 35 projects were submitted in this call, which were evaluated by a high-level international jury. The government, academia, international embassies, and representatives of the national and international digital ecosystem came together at this event to demonstrate that Ecuador has significant human talent in AI.” (Excerpt from the El Comercio newspaper).
The ceremony was attended by Minister César Martín Moreno and UNESCO representative in Ecuador, Tatiana Villegas.
“UNESCO’s office in Ecuador played a crucial role as one of the jury members in these awards, initially evaluating 38 projects, of which 17 advanced for a more in-depth evaluation. These projects covered diverse areas such as environment, health and well-being, education and transportation.” (Excerpt from UNESCO website).
The Minister of Telecommunications, Dr. Cesar Martín Moreno, highlighted the value of research in the country:

The event, which took place in the city of Quito on November 21, 2024, was supported by the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Quito, Movistar Enterprise, Kruger Corp and Irati Restaurant.
